The first snowflakes fell on Toronto and a few intrepid power walkers headed to the beach! Well, why not? This bit of wishful thinking took place at Sugar Beach along the creeping revitalization stretch of the Toronto Harbour waterfront. Originally trained as a mechanical engineer, Lee has worked in the fitness industry for more than 17 years and developed the WoW Power Walking program as a way for people to challenge themselves with a great walking workout. With her WoW Power Walking coaches, she has trained hundreds of people to power walk for fun, fitness and marathons. She has been a featured expert in magazines, on television, and at fitness and health conferences. For 2009 Lee is the walking coach for Prevention magazine. She will be coaching Team Prevention at the Miami Marathon, the Myrtle Beach Marathon, The Cincinnati Flying Pig, Long Beach Marathon, Philadelphia (kick asphalt!) Marathon, and the Las Vegas Marathon. In 2006, Lee released the DVD-CD "Simple Secrets for a Great Walking Workout" - a transformational approach to becoming a powerful and fit walker. Lee believes that life is better when we get outside and when we challenge our bodies and our brains.
